Helvetica Reflection

I really appreciated the viewing of Helvetica in class yesterday, mainly because I did not have any idea how much of a cultural influence such a simple font held within itself. I love the starkness and the simplicity of the font. It says what its supposed to say, without getting in the way but also carries a deeper tone to it when used correctly. I will say slightly Helvetica lacks modernity. That being said, Helvetica definitely still has a place in our society today. I think fonts such as Kollektif could be a worthy successor to Helvetica.
